Electric Elephant Festival in Tisno, Croatia | 7-11th July

If you don’t like the idea of packing your wellington boats and hitting up UK festivals with unpredictable weather, why not try something a little further a field. Electric Elephant festival is your perfect recipe for a holiday come party, set on the Adriatic coastline in Croatia, more specifically in the cove of Tisno where its simply picturesque. The festival is laid out across 5 venues and boasts a main stage that is built in the sea itself! Electric Elephant has a nicely balanced line-up of must sees names such as Andrew Weatheral, AME, Bicep and Greg Wilson and up and coming acts such as Sophie Lloyd and Krywald & Farrer. With this festival proudly claiming to have an atmosphere that is impossible to find anywhere else, it’s sold it to me.

I think it'S time to book the last minute flight…

Church @ dALSTON rOOF pARK | 16TH jULY

This month sees Church back with another standout party that seems to be on almost everyone’s radar. The simple reason being that the painting this lineup and venue produce, together with the supposedly beautiful English weather of mid-July, is an absolutely splendid one. Imagine kicking back, beer in hand, shades at the ready, with the skyline of London for your viewing pleasure; and that’s without mentioning the music. Expect sounds ranging from ambient and disco to the slightly fuzzier warmer lo-fi house that makes Seb Wildblood such an intriguing DJ. Apes will no doubt also provide a set worthy for any rooftop terrace but it is Ishmael’s live performance that I am looking forward to most. Sweeping harmonies and emotive melodies, his set is sure to bring the euphoria everyone so desires these summer months. Tickets are on its fourth release already so better grab yours quick.

WEEK 4 : Oneman RESIDENCY @ XOYO | JUNE 22ND

The fourth week of Oneman's residency continues at XOYO with a line-up that curves towards the darker and more adventurous side of UK club music.

Ben UFO's trans-genre DJ sets have become legendary on the international DJ circuit, and, as such, has become one of the most highly booked DJs in the scene. The real show should start when Oneman goes back-to-back with Hyperdub boss, Kode9. Both were prolific in the Dubstep and Bass scene, and so the fusion of these two selectors will create something truly unique. Radar Radio's very own Amy Becker will be bringing through a few guest DJs for room two as well...

This will be a very rare occasion to see DJs of such a high calibre play out something that you haven't heard for a while..

Benga + Benton + MM (Her Records) @ The Nest | 29th July

For those looking for a little bit more than a casual chit-chat and a boogie, this one is a suitably more frenzied option for your Friday night. Benga - London’s own innovator and joint-pioneer (alongside Skream) of dubstep music in the early 90s - is mid-way through making a welcomed comeback after a 2 year break from music. Any show played by a DJ of his stature is a landmark one, and having returned from a hiatus recently, this show has particular resonance. He brings his vast experience and technical nous to the decks of The Nest in Dalston, and joins Swamp 81s Benton on the line-up, who has become a household name in Bass music in the last few years due to his eclectic sets and boyish attitude behind the decks. A slightly different sort of event from those we usually suggest at YoungOnes, it is definitely worth considering, and for under a tenner you can see a legend, in Benga, plying his trade.
