Red Sky blew us away with the jaw dropping show they put on. Lasers, smoke, fireworks, confetti; they had it all. Friday 29th of November saw the launch of an incredible new night for the House Scene, this was an event NOT to be missed.

Not only was the show stopping line-up exceptional, the venue and the crowd were too, adding that sense of monumental success for a launch night. The event took place at Brixton Electric, a venue perfectly suited to the occasion with a sell out crowd of 1800 heading to the event. The all-star line up featured Bakermat, Tube & Berger, Claptone and the impressive Red Sky resident DJs Jolyon, Emma Shekman and Senseo.

The superb way in which the show developed made it clear this was not just a regular night out. It was a privilege to be watching such a range of huge talent within such a spectacle, every second feeling like an out-of-body experience. Emma Shenkman pulled out all the stops to start the night off in fantastic fashion. From ‘Coltrane’ by Pleasurekraft to Hannah Wants' remix of ‘Kill My Love’ she nailed it with some dancefloor bombs, setting the tone for the rest of the night. Handing over to Tube & Berger who played an array of deep house classics creating an epic feel around the building. Their productions went down a treat and everyone was pouring onto the dance floor to hear their sounds and be part of this extravaganza. Now it was time for the headline act, an international house icon, Bakermat. He came out with such a versatile set featuring artists like Foamo and then taking everyone on a journey through his distinctive, widely received productions. The live saxophone player made Bakermat’s performance that extra bit special with sounds of the brass echoing around the venue generating a euphoric atmosphere. Claptone took to the decks in that enigmatic mask that conceals his identity creating a mysterious vibe. He produced an equally impressive set in his own way, consisting of deep, quirky sounds that kept people going all night long. Last and by far not least top dog at Red Sky, Jolyon, finished the night off in style. He kicked his set off with a YoungOnes favourite, ‘Open Your Eyes’ by D.Ramirez, which got everyones limbs going and ensured many people would be sticking around to the very end of the night. Jolyon kept going from the word go, constantly churning out club bangers.

This was truly one of the best nights we have attended; the feedback from everyone has been overwhelming with praise for Red Sky. The night created a real sense of happiness and celebration of the talent on the House Scene. We have huge faith that Red Sky will continue to deliver, and if it is possible beat the standard they’ve set.

The events will continue to showcase the world most influential artists with unique line-ups and produce “forward thinking & exciting shows.”

If you were not able to make the launch we strongly suggest you keep your eyes peeled on the next first rate Red Sky event! – You will not regret it.  (Keep a close eye on our “What’s Going On” page)
