21st March saw the launch of Binary Vision (B:V) an exciting new series of events in the city of Bristol. The notorious Blue Mountain hosted the night which saw Binary Vision showcase some true underground talent all night long, with DJs such as Chubba, Decka Sound, and Hodge (just to name a few) all featuring in the line up, most noticeably Swamp81's Paleman headlining the show. Along with the fine tuned line up was some of the best lighting we’ve seen around with the main room being layered in lasers that magnified the whole dancefloor experience so expertly.

Despite the venue being of a considerably large size, there was a distinct feeling of intimacy and personality. The atmosphere was full of excitement and expectation for Binary, which was met from the set off. Throughout the night we were treated to some first rate techno that sounded even sweeter on the added speakers that B:V ‘insisted’ on installing on top of the already big boy system Blue Mountain can boast! The projected visuals behind the DJs were the icing on the cake, keeping peoples eyes busy with some loopy shapes and subtle nudges continually modifying the Binary Vision logo. Our highlight though was Binary Vision founder, Shenk’s closing set that was jammed pack full of dancefloor bombs that got everyone real lively towards the end and closed the curtain in style.

We truly believe B:V is a serious one to watch out for in Bristol with there attention to detail being paramount. Bristol is renowned for its huge underground music scene, and Binary fits the category perfectly, but bringing a fresh and exciting take on it. Binary Vision has huge potential and after the success of their launch we have no doubt they will achieve great things. Keep your eyes peeled for the next one, this is something you’re going to want to be part of!
